You need to depart immediately when a student visa is cancelled or revoked. You have NO grace period, and if you overstay, you are in serious trouble, starting with not being allowed into Malaysia or Singapore ever again.

are there student tourist guides in Malaysia and Singapore? you see we're just backpackers for KL and Singapor
were three adults going to KL , a woman and 2 guys who are brothers. we want to be shown around Kl and Singapore by a guide who is not expensive since we intend to take a bus and other transport system in going around KL .WE intend to stay in KL for 4 days and from KL We intend to go to Singapore and stay there for two days and then go back to KL for a flight back to the Philippines. How much are the rate of these guids per day. We're only government employees here in the Philippines.

Hey, I don't mind be your guild in Singapore... I am from Singapore... Btw, I don't charge you.... In Singapore, whole city cover by MRT and Buses. It's using all English and easy to understand. You don't have to worry get lost as everywhere are taxis stand. There are lots of Singapore visitor centre around the island and go get a map from there and you will know how to walk already... You can plan your visit by visiting : http://www.visitsingapore.com/publish/stbportal/en/home.html You should visit Malaysia first then come to Johor Bahru and enter Singapore from there.... Both countries are fine with me.. Enjoy your planning and visit.. We welcome you...
2 :
hardly to get one unless you all go for tour agencies. It;s not expensive if u all get a package from those small agent. I bet it worth your money. Survery around these agent through the yellow page malaysia

If you only intend to travel around KL, I suggest you just buy the travel directory available at major bookstores. You can save your money, PLUS you get to keep the book. Travelling around KL is easy with all the busses, taxis and trains. Mind you, some taxi drivers will try to cheat you if you look touristy. Always ask for a rough estimate before taking a taxi.I believe no taxi ride around KL will cost up to RM50. When in doubt, ask passers-by.

Is there any college/university for hearing impaired/deaf students at Malaysia with medium as English?
Deaf student wants to do a diploma/degree course in computars/information technology or achitecture/interior design at Malaysia in English language

If the student wants to use the English language, then all they have to do is look for a college in which they speak English. The student should sit in a position where the teacher is best seen, and possibly hire a note taker. If affordable, his teachers should wear an FM system.
2 :
Your question's a bit confusing... Are you wanting to stay in the country Malaysia and take courses via the internet? Or does Malaysia mean something different, than what in my vocabulary?.... Gallaudet University is the most popular (if not only) University for the Deaf. Here's their site: http://www.gallaudet.edu/ Good Luck to you!

I heard Taylor College have one programme for degree in architecture but the student need to go/ transfer oversea for final year. for better employability and your future career in achitecture design, is best you go oversea. Limkokwing University College of Creative Technology also offers this course and is very popular among the Klang Valley students.

As a foreign student it will be very difficult for your to be accepted by any University of California. You will need very high grades, a high TOEFL score and a high SAT score. Also you will need to be able to prove that you can pay for your tuition and living expenses yourself which would be about $35,000 a year. The US government requires that you prove that you have this much money before they will issue you a student passport. Apply to all of the UC campuses and see if you get into any and good luck!

What will be the cost to rent a furnished room near KLMU university.( just a room, not a flat). And what if I and some friends rent a flat. Which will be more cost effective. 4. Hi Shez I am a Pakistani, living here in Malaysia for the last 10 years. By law, students are not allowed to work in Malaysia (this will be written on your visa as well). However many Pakistani and other students do take up odd jobs to meet their day to day expenses. As these are odd jobs, you may not expect high income. Normally these are low paid but highly committed jobs. RM 700 per month may not be sufficient. You may have to make it to RM 1000 mnimum (if you don't smoke and ready to live in a very disciplined way) You can communicate with me at sajjad.akbar@yahoo.com if you need further information. 1 I Don't think you can work on your student visa. 2 If you can not work at all you will never exceed the working hours 3 To rent a flat with friends will be more cost effective because there is not limit of how many persons in one flat, 4 No it is not enough. Good luck
2 :
Hey bro! International students can't work on a student visa. A room on a sharing basis can be as low as Rm150-200. Food, depends on how are your eating habits. Normally will be around Rm12-15 / day. Recommend you share your room. Its better to get in touch with your uni mates and get all the contacts for accommodation. The budget is possible but will be very tight. No movies, no cafe, no outings, no dates, just stay in the room. You can find part time jobs, but must be smart not to be caught by the authorities. Not worth the hassle with them. Hope you enjoy your stay and all the best !!

Is it so easy to make money in Malaysia by issuing student visas for Africans?

Is it so easy to make money in Malaysia by issuing student visas for Africans?
I heard a private college " Binary University International near IOI mall" issue student visas for many African nationals and the CEO Joseap Adaikalam became over night millionaire, is it true?. I also heard he gives kick back ( bribe) to top Education ministry officials and Immigration Director General and that's why the African so called students can roam around at Bandar Puteri 7 and Wawasan Pusat Bandar Puchong with expired student visas with no action from Immigration Operasi section!! If they are students who came here to study, how come they consume alcohols and roaming around with local girls? That mean it looks like the Binary University CEO has strong connections right top people in Government departments? If this is true, anyone also can set up a private college and simple issue student visa and charge 5,000 per African for 1000 and become half millionare right? Hello Malaysian, please comment?

I can get a Visa for RM 600 per month (inclusive of under table money).........monthly renewal at the Malaysia-Thai border......you only go the first time, after that just the passport will go and come..........
2 :
The Government should take action against Binary and the CEO if found guilty. He is the traitor to the Nation.
3 :
Wait until so many Malay girls kena raped and many murder / robbery cases, then only the police will open their eyes (not to take action but to start blaming this and that person). Till then, they are having fun, no complaint will be entertained and no action taken.
4 :
Any business involving bringing in foreigners into the country is very lucrative. Though i have not heard of this Binary University International doing such thing but i won't be suprise if they do, infact i think many colleges do that too. This kind of "business" is illegal, if you have conscience, you wouldn't do it eventhough it could make you a millionaire. * in your example RM5000 x 1000 = RM5 million not half a million ( Oops sorry ! )

The conditions of your being allowed to stay in Malaysia should be stated in your travel documents. Having stayed in all you life, your Bahasa Malayu sghould be very good and thay may help in your application of a temporary work permit. Your parents should be familar with some of the immigration officers - just enquire as to what the requirements of a temp work permit are.....

Student visa for Malaysia?

Student visa for Malaysia?
If you have an unconditional offer from a university and the university if applying for the student visa/pass on your behalf, normally how long does it take to get that letter of approval from Malaysian ministry of higher education and how likely is it, that you application for student visa despite of having the unconditional offer gets rejected. i already have a place there.

2 :
Hello, if you are other nationalily than African nationals sure it is difficualt to get student visas. The Malaysian immigration and Police all taking bribe in Malaysia and allowing so mnay hundreds of Africans to enter the country with student visas. U want to know the joke? All the Africans roaming at bus stops and cyber cafes are all elderly men. Most of them enter Malaysia under the pretext of studying in private colleges but all of them are hired my local Malays, Indians and Chinese single mothers, widows and divorces for sex activities. You go and see yourself at Puchong Bandar Puteri 7 area, the number of Africans are living luxury life? All expences are paid by the local women including car is given free, liquours and food for the Africans just because in excange for sex! The Police and Immigration are getting paid by the private colleges who issue them student visas. The Barisan Government or State Government (PKR, DAP, PAS) all corrupted. You cant change these stupid government attitudes. I have already written to the Immigration, Education and Police department but so far no action! From this you know the Malaysian government is corrupted!!
3 :
If the University applies the student visa on your behalf, it may take ages - it won't have the time nor the pesonnel to do it. What usually happens is that the student applies the visa personlly with the letter of confirmed offer..either in the home country at the Malaysian Embassy, [ advisable if visa on arrival is not available to nationals of the country], or else, enter Malaysia on a temporary visa on arrival and then obtain the proper visa endorsement at the Immigration Department, which should be ready on the same day [ there should be some sort of arrangement between the Education Department or University and the Immigration Department to facilitate this.] Anyway follow instructions from the University, if any.

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

You have committed the crime of over-staying. You are likely to be detained for questioning when you try to depart...and then they decide what to do. If you go to the immigration office now to own up and explain things, you may be fined and asked to pay a penalty, then asked to apply for an extension of your pass - if you are still a student, you need confirmation from your school of study (the school should be able to assist you). If you are no longer a student, you need to provide proof that you have enogh funds to suppport yourself in the meantime, and a valid onward ticket. Anyway the first thing to do is to contact the Consulate/Embassy of your country.......NOW or the very first thing in the morning.....they should be able to help....
2 :
Not that you're caught, but to play safe get it renewed before then, or get changed to a tourist visa.
3 :
Please contact the immigration Malaysia and inform them and see what they say... http://www.imi.gov.my/eng/im_Page1.asp
4 :
You will be arrested for overstaying in Malaysia by knowing that your visa had already expired on 14th June 2009. You will be jailed or fine accordingly by the immigration laws.

Why? LangkauGaris, do you know that Sabah and Sarawak don't have Train service? LangkauGaris, once my friend visit Ipoh town. His friends ask him, " Does Kuching has shopping center like Ipoh?" Dude do you know that Kuching is much bigger then Ipoh. What I am tried to said is a lot of west Malaysian had no idea of East Malaysian. LangkauGaris, no offend taken. Don't worry.

Dear Muslims, Our muhammad says he is a prophet right? But according to our qur’an he cannot perform miracles and wonders like the prophets in the bible. Why? Our muhammad says he is sent as the final prophet right? But the bible says there are no more prophets after John the Baptist in Luke 16:16. – â€Å“The Law and Prophets were until John (the Baptist)” Our allah says he is the same deity as the judeo-christian right? But the judeo-christian deity finds re-marriages DISGUSTING (Jeremiah 3:1), while our allah encourages sex with new husband before returning to previous husband. Bukhari Volume 7, 63, Number 187. Our allah says he saved the Jews in the Exodus right? But why our allah cannot even save muhammad from poisoning and muhammad’s sons all died in their infancies. Greatest prophet right? Or are we fooling ourselves? Look at it this way, if we remove the link to the judeo-christian deity, islam becomes zero cos muhammad & allah cannot be trusted.

I was not so long ago with a Malaysian student - a Malay - on the phone and at some moment he asked me when I would come to Malaysia. I explained nicely that I was in Malaysia, living here in Sabah kan... he asked a staggering three times, each time with more emphasis on the word MALAYSIA until I gave up. I related this story to two friends, and both have had similar experiences while studying in Peninsular Malaysia. They were asked: "when you finish your studies, will you stay in Malaysia or go back to Sabah?" Now these are recent incidents, and while we have just celebrated a mystical 50 years of Malaysia I find it is not only sad, but also rather worrying that Sabah and Sarawak are still not considered Malaysia amongst many West Malaysians... now I am still waiting until someone asks me if we live in trees! I have heard that story many times, but I have not yet been 'victim' myself. Thus, the question is: what do they learn at Schools in West Malaysia about Sabah and Sarawak???

Students from west malaysia have got not much chance to travel to east malaysia. I have heard my grandfather telling me that too, with explanation that there are many orang asli there. It was later when i grew up thn i found out my grandfather bluffed!! Singapore students never asked cos they have never seen a tree that has got a house on it in real life. They thought all houses are actually flats or landed property.
8 :
they forget to bring their common sense
9 :
ok guys .. enough .. if that person is stupid just leave him alone .. and for us ... no matter we came from a western or eastern but we still a Malaysian and i love u guys ... sorry ... i'm a bit emotional earlier ... so i deleted my previous answer ... sorry DK ...
10 :
What is wrong living on a tree? I would find the biggest tree and build a house on top of it like Robinson Crusoe. It would be the coolest crib ever built!!! Just imagine: waking up to the sound of chirping birds, watching the sun rises through the morning mist while enjoying the fauna and flora. That is what I called "a piece of heaven!!!". Sadly, I do not live on a tree but it would be a privilege to live on one!
11 :
Try this : Some people ask me whether Sabah and Sarawak use the same currency as Semenanjung, how do we come to Semenanjung (by car or train), and the most ridiculous question : is Sabah in Malaysia????? helloo... The one asking about the currency thing was Chinese. This is not about anti-semenanjung sentiment, this is about... errmmm... 'how come they didn't know those stuff'? One person asking is okay but, more than 10? My friend was singing some Malay song while having a seminar at Kajang and someone was so surprised that my friend can sing to awie's song. ?????? Hahaha... we can sing britney spears too hehe.. no anti-what so over la here, just find it funny.. hihi... i'm 'interneting' on top of a tree... beautiful view..
12 :
LangkauGaris, I wish what you said is true, but actually they (esp my stupid seniors) did ask me that when I first came to Melaka to study in a boarding school. They even ask me how my tree house look like. They can't believe me when I said I rarely go into forest, so forget living in it. By the way, that LRT question is valid. Where got LRT in Sabah & Sarawak? Edit: Another real life experience. I studied in Tawau until I was form 3. So one day, one teacher from Semenanjung was introduced to us. In her first class with us, she told us that she was surprised that Tawau was not as she imagined before. When she received her posting letter, she was worried that she was sent to a jungle and she start imagining living without clean water and electricity with no proper transportation etc. But when she arrived, she was amazed that Tawau is actually a modern town with buildings made of bricks, not wood, and we do have electricity, tap water, buses, taxi etc and jungle is nowhere to be found. She finally said that there is not much difference living in West M'sia and Sabah.
13 :
Are you sure? Do you think you are gonna delte this Q's and ask again with amendment?
14 :
just answer like this they still live in at tree top, but they use lift and escalator to go from one tree to another tree i feel pity to the person that ask you, very obvious that they look down for malaysia and malaysian, malaysia boleh!
15 :
Left that idiot alone!
16 :
it is rather offensive to be mistaken for living in trees in the jungle. And people wonder why i want Sabah and Sarawak to be indepepndant from Malaysia. They think we are incapable of running our own government because they think we live in trees in the jungle It is this kind of thinking that is the reason why Malaysians wont let Sabahans become bosses instead sending people from semenanjung to come and rule us. ------------------------- when i was in the US other Malayasian international students thought Sabah was part of the Philippines. I thought they were joking... they werent.

How much our government(Malaysia) lavish on the students to study abroad?

How much our government(Malaysia) lavish on the students to study abroad?
How much our government lavish on a student who pursuing his/her study to US? how much is their monthly allowance? can anybody tell me the approximate value?
Malaysia - 3 Answers

1 :
its not the same amount for every student. so the best thing i can tell is try contact the KEMENTERIAN PELAJARAN MALAYSIA.
2 :
I'm not sure on how much they are getting nowadays but I guessed it would be better than when I was studying in the US in the 80s as the Government have increased their allowance by up to 90% via the last Budget. Anyway, I used to get USD505.00/month and book allowance of about USD500.00/year when I was doing my masters in san diego. San Diego is considered zone A and students in Zone B would get about 15% less. Such allowance barely pay for lodging and food as cost of living was quite high and still is. You see, in the states, they really impose the limit on how many people can stay in an apartment. You can't simply squat. For example, I use to pay about USD500.00/month for rent. This I shared with another Malaysian. So, 50% of the allowance went to rental. This did not include bills for electricity, gas, etc. So, I don't think government is spending lavishly on students under their scholarship programs. Unless your FAMA (Father/Mother) is rich, you tend to make do with what you have to get your degree.

How is student life in Malaysia? More particularly, Sunway University?

How is student life in Malaysia? More particularly, Sunway University?
I'm planning on doing my BSc (Honours)/degree in Psychology at the Sunway University in Malaysia. I'd like to know some information about this particular university, is the campus big? How is the atmosphere there? Is it's certificate recognised worldwide? I believe that when graduating from Sunway University, students get a certificate from Lancaster University (UK) also, are those two certificates more 'powerful'/valuable than Nottingham's? Do i really have to have an O'Level credit in a science subject to be eligible to study Psychology at Sunway University? Is the university clean? How is the infrastructure? Is it modern? And finally, what is the % of graduates from Sunway University that gets employed right after obtaining their certificates? I have been trying to look for these kind of information for about a week and haven't found what i am looking for yet... 10 points to best answer :) I don't really know about USA, i don't think i'll be able to go there since i don't have loads of extra curricular activities and didn't do SATs cause i'm pretty bad in mathematics :/

No more documents REQUIRED. But Singapore immigration MIGHT ask you, your reason for going to Singapore and MIGHT ask you whether you have sufficient cash for your stay.
2 :
Malaysia and the Malaysian are not treated as foreign to S'pore and have special condition as close partner. Passport is a must and your student pass to show that you are not coming in to work. Bring enough money to spend & to show if needed and as Asean people, no visa.
3 :
Your passport - must be valid i.e. at least 6 months before expiry date.
4 :
always bring your passport with you.that's very important.
5 :

6 :
Just your Passport.. You also need to fill up a white immigration card @ the custom..

What's the best outing destinations for varsity students within Peninsular Malaysia?

What's the best outing destinations for varsity students within Peninsular Malaysia?
Hi, I'm part of the committee organising a trip for my juniors. We had a few suggestions and short listed a few places. However, I would like to hear opinions and suggestions from those who had vast experiences travelling within Malaysia. Last year, the seniors organised an outing to Fraser's Hill. It was great! The highland was cool and not over populated. As a result, we managed to have various activities around our lodging area, jungle trekking along the Bishop's trail, indoor activities within a spacious hall just nice for our activities etc. What I've in mind's almost the same, just that I'd prefer if our jungle trekking could lead us to a waterfall area. That'll be great! There would roughly be around 150 students and the maximum budget per head would be rm100. Due let me know if you'd experienced the same exact ecstatic thrill as a student yourself and the best destination possible with the abovementioned activities, low cost budget, good food and lodging, etc. In a nutshell, we just wanna chill at not-to-overpopulated-highlands where we can basically have the whole area to ourselves for indoor and outdoor activities for a 3 days 2 nights stay. Your information is verr much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Malaysia Government Student Loans (ptptn)?

Malaysia Government Student Loans (ptptn)?
Is PTPTN the only student loan available from the government? Also, my friend qualified for almost $10,000.00 USD student loan from the Malaysian Government. I thought the government only loans out to students who come from lower to average income families? And regarding repayment of these loans: Is it true you can't leave the country until the entire amount is paid for? If my friend who comes from a wealthy family took out a government student loan and is still repaying it, does that mean my friend might be lying to me about coming from a wealthy family? My friend said she refused to have her parents to pay for her university education, so she took a government loan. If you are wealthy, wouldn't you take a loan from the bank instead? I thought all government student loans are for lower to average income families? My friend's parents are wealthy, so how was this possible?
Financial Aid - 2 Answers

*Is PTPTN the only student loan available from the government? That one confuses me a little. I've never heard of PTPTN, the only federal aid program I know if the FAFSA. *Also, my friend qualified for almost $10,000.00 USD student loan from the Malaysian Government. Why would the Malaysian Government give out scholarships? Is your friend in Malaysia? If not, it's probably a scam. *I thought the government only loans out to students who come from lower to average income families? When you file the FAFSA, they calculate the expense of the college in comparison with your income (or your family's income). This could give anyone the opportunity to get a loan. *And regarding repayment of these loans: Is it true you can't leave the country until the entire amount is paid for? That one, I doubt it, but check the FAFSA website to be sure. If this is true, this means that any credit card debt would prevent someone from leaving the country, and that obviously isn't true! *If my friend who comes from a wealthy family took out a government student loan and is still repaying it, does that mean my friend might be lying to me about coming from a wealthy family? Nope. Like I mention before, if your friend is rich, consider the school---does it have high tuition expenses? If so, then the calculated EFC (expected family contribution) is less than the tuition rates of the school. *My friend said she refused to have her parents to pay for her university education, so she took a government loan. If you are wealthy, wouldn't you take a loan from the bank instead? No. Most banks don't offer student loans unless you take it from a private vendor (Chase, Astrive) that don't go through the government. Some have the option of giving you the money THROUGH the federal government so you have to pay back that BANK instead of the Dept of Education. Wealth has nothing to do with where you get the loan from. *I thought all government student loans are for lower to average income families? Nope. See my explanations above. *My friend's parents are wealthy, so how was this possible? Like I said, their income and expected contribution to the child's tuition is in comparison to the tuition rates of the college. If the tuition is really, really high, even rich people could get a loan. It would just be easier to pay the loan back!
2 :
This PTPTN Study Loans program was established in 1999 and is mainly focused on students who have gained admission to local universities but are unable to further their studies due to financial constraints. ***PTPTN will evaluate the financial background of the applicant's family before approving the application. To me the PTPTN is all bullshit! And the loans that they gives out are all based on racist tags. But do correct me if i am wrong, your "friend" is a "Bumiputera" am i right?ANd youre a "non-bumiputera"

If you own a malaysia credit card(which easily approved), most of the cards have interest free installment plan. Or else, you can go around Low Yat Plaza or even Sungei Wang Plaza to ask for installment plan. But i'm sure they'll charge you with interest. Might not be accurate as I've left KL to Singapore for a year or so now. But hope it helps. Good Luck!

You can try Sg. Wang Plaza. Courts is also offering computers tru instalment payments..I think??

If you are taking multimedia in Malaysia because it is cheap and you can work at the same time, you will end up working as a labour in Malaysia, without credentials(may check if the paper you study is recognized in other countries). I do not think multimedia in Malaysia is good enough. Should look for a more advance country whereby your career is ensured after graduation, suffer now earn later.

National University of Singapore is ranked the top 30 Universities in the world. Raffles junior college is the best college in Singapore. Singapore is very safe by international benchmark standard. Females can roam the streets in Singapore in the wee hours without any fear of getting into serious trouble.

Singapore is definitely safer than Malaysia anytime of the day.

I'm an Asian/Malaysia student. How am I going to socialize with US students?
Hi guys! I'm 18 now and I'm about to go to Houston, US for my undergraduate study next year spring! It was pretty excited for me. It will be a new life, new adventure to me! Erhem... but the question is about friends. I was also excited to meet new friends there, especially the local people! That will be awesome! However, my mum told me most probably I will only hang out with the asians because some white and black people doesn't like asian. My classmates said the same as well. I surf around youtube most of the time and sometime I found some serious racist comments. :( Is racism really that serious in US? I'm quite scared because I'm kinda soft-hearted (even though I don't look like that)... I wonder how am I going to socialize with all of them... I'm sorry if my mum offended you... :(

I'm not gonna lie...people WILL be racist towards you. For the most part though, you shouldn't have a problem as most people really aren't that lame. If anything, you might have an easier time finding friends since people will be curious and might ask you what it was like to live in another country.

Although I'm not a student anymore, as an immigrant from Hong Kong, I can tell you that there are some racist people in the US, but you won't find many of them in Houston. This city is full of immigrants from all over including Asia, Latin America. When you first arrive in America, it's only natural that you will hang out first with people who share your own culture, they can help you with many things and ease you into the American life. But since you go to school, you will be able to meet all kinds of people and soon you will be able to mingle and make friends with people of all ethnicity. The best way to do so is to forget about who you are, and you yourself should not be aware of what the other person is, be it white, black, Asians. If you join some clubs and interest groups, you can make friends much easily with people who share your same interests and goals.

Don't be scared! You're clearly a brave person to go to school so far from home, and that alone will qualify you to deal with any of the typical snide adolescent-esque comments that may or may not come your way. All the asian people I know from university have TONS of friends, because they're unusual and interesting people to us primarily white americans. You will come across some racism, particularly from young men who still have too many hormones to behave appropriately, but I'm confident you won't come across anything aggresive or violent. At my university, a Korean student got in a car accident two years ago and literaly half the school attended a candle vigil for her at the university center. She received so many flowers and cards that the hospital had to stop accepting them. Cowardly hateful people get on the internet to spread around the disgusting views they would never say if they weren't anonymous - I wouldn't worry to much about what you see on youtube.

I would not worry about racism if you are going to the US. The internet is probably the worst place that you can look to get the opinions of an average American, because the extremes tend to love posting ridiculous comments that are in no way indicative of the country in general. Im white and have tons of asian friends. Quite frankly, color does not matter in this nation generally, especially among the younger generation. Yes there are crazies, but you will have white friends, black friends, asian friends, and latino friends. Our nation is full of people from everywhere, and racism shrinks year after year. I would not worry about racism going to the US.
