I don't know for sure what a biomedical scientist is, but I suspect it is someone who holds a PhD in the field of laboratory science. A medical technologist has a bachelors degree in laboratory science. And a medical lab technologist holds an associates degree in laboratory science. You didn't ask the difference in pay between an MT and a MLT, but it's 5-10 dollars an hour, maybe more depending on the facility and the responsibility.
