Locate the embassy of your country and apply for a new passport. Ask your school/college/university in Malaysia to give you an introduction letter stating that you are an international bonafide student. Your educational institution should have a copy of your lost passport in which the student visa was endorsed. Go see Ministry of Foreign Affairs office and request them to sort out your problem. I don't think you will be penalized. If a police report is necessary or an advertisement in the newspaper is required, do that as well and attached copies of the clips to your case. good luck. j

do you know about the program # The Malaysia My Second Home program (commonly abbreviated "MM2H")# is an international residency scheme enacted by the Government of Malaysia to allow foreigners to live in the country on a long-stay visa of up to 10 years. To qualify for the program, applicants must meet certain financial and medical criteria. Successful applicants are then entitled to enter and leave the country on a largely unrestricted basis, and also benefit from other incentives aimed at making their stay in Malaysia more convenient. Certain restrictions may apply. read more on this page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_My_Second_Home and about citizenship? i really could not find anything sure ; Those applying for citizenship by registration must have "an elementary knowledge of the Malay language". Those applying to become naturalised citizens must have "an adequate knowledge of the Malay knowledge" and have resided in the country for ten of the past twelve years, including the twelve months immediately preceding the application. These requirements are set out by Part III of the Constitution; however, as there is no objective definition of what constitutes elementary or adequate knowledge of Malay, in practice, the tests are often subjective, sometimes even varying in whether a written knowledge of Malay is required. do know that Malaysia does not allow dual citizenship . go read about citizenship : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_citizenship
