if you take your puppy in a carry-on bag, it will be considered hand-luggage and won't cost anything. bags like that will be available in pet stores. the thing to do is to let the vet sedate your puppy to make it sleep during flight, put the carry-on bag under the seat in front of you and you will have an enjoyable flight. you need to get full information on bureaucracy connected with import of animals into the united states. as i do not know how many stop-overs you will have, i further suggest that you stop by a vet at at least one transit airport to have him check whether the puppy is ok.

Do what the smart guy says to bring the dog over to US by a bag if you want to be in trouble. If you are taking Malaysian Airlines With over 1,248 sq metre of space, your animals or pets will have ample roaming space before their flight or upon arrival. They will be staying in the only animal hotel in Asia and one out of only three in the world. MASKargo facility accepts all kinds of animals . Your animals will be taken care of by our team of experienced and well-trained handlers providing constant supervision from acceptance to delivery or during transit. Extract above from MAS Cargo section, and you may care to refer to that for details: MASKARGO

I'm studying in Singapore (I'm American). My friends who go tend to visit just to shop or lay on the beach, or scuba dive. They tend to be from here (that age group is in their 30s, steady jobs, drive up for weekend trips). Or British/American (fellow students) who may skip a day of classes and make a long day of it - go up by coach and their average age is 20). Oh, it's also popular to pass through on the way to Thailand so as to see a few more things along the way (instead of just hopping on a plane). So, yeah a trip to Malaysia is sometimes used to slow the pace of a trip to another destination as well. My German friends who are working here (also in their 30s), do the weekend thing, by coach - just to see touristy stuff in KL and JB usually). Hope that helps :o).

One reason is that we can get some warmer weather. I live in an area that is cold and it rains and snows during the Fall and Winter. We drink a lot of hot Starbuck's coffee. I was glad to see that there is a lot of Starbuck's coffee in Malaysia, but I usually get a cold drink. We can find good hotels in Malaysia and we can swim in the pools and be in the sunshine. We like to find good food, see the art and architecture in Malaysia. Also we like to learn about the history. I have found that every city is different. We enjoy knowing people that have come from many different countries and live in Malaysia. I enjoy the diversity of the culture. We like to travel to see new places and meet people. Some of us are looking for adventure - we can always find it in Malaysia.

Is it not dangerous when 80% of the Chinese students are attending Chinese medium schools in Malaysia?
Is it not dangerous when 80% of the Chinese students are attending Chinese medium schools in Malaysia?
Salam, Most Malays (100%) are attending Malay medium schools and most Chinese (80%) are attending Chinese medium schools. Whose idea is this? Racial harmony in Malaysia is almost non-existence and national unity is already very bad. Our system of education futher aggravates the polarisation of races and we are moving surely towards a national disaster in the near future. Could we do something better or just leave it as it is and hope for the best? Salam. Wan Solehah al-Halbani

Probably any attempt to change the status quo at this time would stir up even more ill feeling. I don't believe that schools are polarising racism, but rather that the polarisation has made made ethnic groups want separate schools.

Well this is usually a few month process. Have you called them to inquire about the progress of your application? That would be the first place to start.
